Since 2011, Restore Oregon has delivered one of the most successful preservation programs in the state: Oregon’s Most Endangered Places.

Many historic properties in Oregon are at risk of being lost to demolition, neglect, hard times, poor public policy, or encroaching development. Our Most Endangered Places program works to raise public awareness of the cultural value of these places, provide direct consultation, distribute seed grants, advocate for pro-preservation public policy, and help owners leverage additional grants and private investment to support their efforts.

Program Facts

  • Launched in 2011
  • Helped 52 places across Oregon
  • Delivered over 3,800 direct consultation hours
  • Distributed $72,000 in seed grants
  • Guided owners to leverage nearly $4,000,000 of additional grant funding and private investment towards rehabilitation and restoration

Nominate a Historic Place At-Risk

Restore Oregon is dedicated to the idea that preservation is everyone’s responsibility, and we seek to enlighten, engage, and empower others to help achieve this vision. Each Endangered Place is nominated by concerned citizens and friends group working to save these places.
