Secured a new home for one of our Most Endangered Places, the Jantzen Beach Carousel, after six years of ownership, preservation planning, and restoration testing.
Invested in Most Endangered places across the state by assisting the Mayo House and several rural theaters, extensively supporting Portland’s Bill Webb Elks Lodge, and announcing Gates School as our latest rural Most Endangered Place.
Launched a digital resource guide for rural Oregon to better respond to rural challenges and concerns statewide.
Protected 47 Oregon properties through our historic Easements program.
Helped make preservation work for Oregon’s Black communities by launching the Albina Preservation Initiative.
Provided over 1,000 hours of free restoration consultation through our Technical Services program to help Oregonians best preserve and reuse Oregon’s historic places.
Celebrated 14 DeMuro Award-winning projects, demonstrating that adaptive reuse of existing structures is essential to reaching climate goals and preserving cultural heritage.
Reached over 15,000 people through preservation programs, educational events, social media, and our FieldNotes magazine.
Helped pass legislative bills addressing climate change through our Policy & Advocacy initiatives.
Deepened relationships with Oregon’s Asian American Pacific Islander community and strengthened demolition protections in Portland through our attempts to save the Yamaguchi Hotel from demolition.
