Thank you to our guests and sponsors who joined us at the Sacred Spaces Lecture and Tour!

Just a few weeks ago, Restore Oregon offered the unique experience of exploring the sacred and religious architecture of Pietro Belluschi.  Guests had the opportunity to listen to the educational and entertaining lecture of Anthony Belluschi while appreciating the ‘sparkle hour’ at Central Lutheran Church in NE Portland.  Then, during the self-guided Saturday tour, they could listen to the live music amplifying the acoustical expertise of Pietro Belluschi and hear animated construction tales from the churches.  The events were a refreshing break from the typical mid-century modern home tours and we hope you had a fabulous time!

Sacred Spaces brought guests from all over the Pacific Northwest to support Restore Oregon, our state’s only nonprofit working to leverage relationships and resources to preserve, protect, and pass forward Oregon's heritage—including mid-century modern design!  Not only that, but this was the first in a series of events celebrating the 125th anniversary of Pietro Belluschi’s birthday.  Our next event, an afternoon at the Menefee house has tickets available now, and stay tuned for details about the big birthday event on August 18th.

Many thanks to our generous sponsors (listed below) whose support brings our 2024 Modernism events to life. And shout out to our Modernist Society members who signed up for a whole year of Modernism events and other exclusive club benefits.

Thank you to our guests for supporting our second biggest fundraising event of the year and celebrating the preservation of mid-century modern design with us.  We hope you enjoyed your time experiencing a different side of architecture and design.
