It has been quite a year for Restore Oregon’s Modernism events!
We expanded to six signature events from the Sacred Spaces lecture and tour in May to the 125th Birthday Celebration of Pietro Belluschi in August. It was filled with fun, learning and making more friends who are so passionate about design and architecture - we thank you for your participation and support!
2024 was an opportunity to learn in-depth about beloved Oregon architect Pietro Belluschi. We were also excited to experience homes designed by John Storrs, John Yeon, and James Gardiner. It was incredibly special to sample the wines of Menefee vineyards, in view of the vineyards themselves, from the patio of the Menefee home in Yamhill County. Some likely missed the amazing mid-century fruited Jell-O mold scrumptious concoction enjoyed at our Modernist Society cocktail party.
Thank you to all our hosts and sponsors for making the events of 2024 possible. A shout-out to this year’s Modernist Society members for your genuine enthusiasm and passion for all things Modern. And, a special thanks to Tony and Marti Belluschi for sharing their knowledge and stories, too.
We hope you will plan to join us again next year. We are already working on a fantastic 2025 lineup so get ready – our goal is to offer Modernist Society memberships for the December gift-giving season. And, there is a high probability of more Jell-O!
