Learn about the points of interest from the 1977 event, curated by Alfred Staehli, and what tour goers learned about these places 40 years ago!
As part of our 40th Birthday Celebration, we are culling through our organization’s history to celebrate our accomplishments and honor our preservation work. Our summer intern, Victoria Hensley, found Restore Oregon’s (formerly HPLO) 1977 Eastside Historic Architecture Tour and was able to recreate the tour for us to take today. Take your virtual time machine back to HPLO’s home tour of 1977.
Map your #historicORlove today!
To commemorate Restore Oregon’s rich preservation legacy and raise awareness of compounding pressures mounting against our most loved places, we are hosting a digital birthday party at www.restoreoregon.org/40th.
Celebrate Restore Oregon’s 40th birthday by mapping your most loved Oregon places and memories on our #historicORlove map. Whether a landscape or landmark, or even just your grandmother’s front porch or a favorite fishing hole, Restore Oregon hopes to fill the map with Oregon’s historic images and collective stories.
