On April 8, Restore Oregon Modernism opened its inaugural year of events with a gorgeous tour of architect Joachim Grube’s private home. Tour guests, made up mostly of our Modernist Society members, stepped back in time as they entered the near-original home.
Many had the chance to speak with Joachim’s family, and even many spent time together reminiscing about their own personal connection with Joachim. Modernist Society members have another three events to mingle throughout the year, so many are making Modern friends as we go along!
An expertly-designed home filled with breathtaking PNW art that inspired connections between people & place on Saturday and made the day truly unforgettable. Thank you to all who toured with us and many thanks to the members of our Modernist Society for signing up—we’re so excited for the year ahead!
