Stephanie Brown | Director of Carousel Planning and Education

Stephanie joined Restore Oregon in 2017 to manage grant-writing, fundraising and marketing for the Jantzen Beach Carousel, while also overseeing its restoration. Stephanie has helped nonprofits and businesses tell their stories for over twenty years, managing media relations, fundraising and integrated marketing campaigns for dozens of nonprofit organizations including OMSI, Oregon Ballet Theater and the Oregon Humane Society, for which she created the beloved annual Pug Crawl. That said, she is no stranger to the historic preservation field. She is both a former faculty member of the Interior Design department at Portland Community College, and an accomplished architectural color consultant and interior designer who has provided period-sensitive interior and exterior design assistance to home and business owners throughout the United States. As principal of her own design firm, she guided several large-scale restoration projects including the award-winning reimagining of the Academy Theater in Portland.
