Rebecca Ziegler

Many of you may know that Rebecca runs her own historic preservation consultancy, Adaptive Preservation, LLC, in addition to her position with the City of Salem as the Riverfront Downtown Urban Renewal Program Manager. She brings an abundance of statewide connections, having worked with more than 67 diverse Oregon communities through programs for Main Streets, Certified Local Governments and Urban Renewal agencies; and lives in Albany’s Monteith Historic District, with her husband and daughter in a restored 1893 Victorian home.

Rachel Browning

With over 25 years’ experience in construction estimating, project management and marketing, Rachel Browning most recently served as the General Manager of Salvage Works, which she co-owned with her brother, Preston. Sunset Magazine described Salvage Works as "The very best reclaimed lumber yard in the PWN." In addition to Sunset Magazine, Salvage Works has been featured in Luxe, Country Living, Dwell, Gray, The New York Times, and several design books. Rachel also served as Vice President of the board of the Kenton Business Association, and was instrumental in the restoration of the 1959 Paul Buynan statue, a DeMuro Award winning project. She lives in Newport, Oregon with her fiance and son.

Tama Tochihara

Tama Tochihara has worked in the field of historic preservation for over 20 years. She is a senior historian at Bonneville Power Administration and President of the Asian American and Pacific Island Employee Resource Group. She is passionate about the stories that might not be the obvious narrative, and saving places that represent the diverse history that is always present if we look a little deeper. Originally from Denver, CO, Tama studied History at the University of Illinois, and Historic Preservation at Cornell University. She lives in West Linn with her husband, three children, and dog.
