Soirée Success!

We had a truly memorable adventure kicking off our 2026 Modernism series with the Spirit Soirée on Sunday, March 15th! The event was a beautiful combination of history and community, held in a stunning space with fascinating stories. A huge thank you to our hosts, Bryce & Logan, from Wilhelm’s Portland Memorial Mausoleum, and to Dan Bramske of Bramske Studios for the generous bar sponsorship. We're excited to share some images from the evening.

Events like the Spirit Soirée are at the heart of the Modernist Society, which was founded to do more than just support Restore Oregon’s programs. Our goal is to foster a strong community by creating opportunities for enthusiasts to connect, build relationships, and share our collective love for history.

If you weren't able to join us, there is still plenty of room for more friends in the Modernist Society. Mark your calendars for our next major event: the May 9 Modern Home Tour, Park and Play in Argay!

New members will also gain access to our exceptional Architect Spotlight event on August 1st. This is a must-see for any Modernist, featuring an in-depth exploration of The Gordon House by Frank Lloyd Wright and The Mount Angel Library by Alvar Aalto. Experts will share behind-the-scenes knowledge and lived experiences, with tours that go beyond a general visit, from viewing original library design plans to hearing the story of saving and moving the Gordon House. You won't want to miss this!
